Oriental Honey Ginger Tea

I love when we have "show and tell" at work! I've been on a bit of a tea kick lately, so as luck would have it, this morning my co-worker shared with me a honey ginger tea she'd found recently at a local Oriental market.

The fact that it's so interesting-looking made me even more excited to try it (yeah, I'm kinda weird like that). It had a gelatin-like texture, which I'm not quite used to and you can see the shredded ginger right in your cup.

Another coworker of mine, a cute little Asian woman, swears by the health benefits of ginger and says that if you have it daily, you'll never get sick (do ginger snaps count?! ) and I can truthfully say I can't recall her ever being out sick...

So, the verdict? It was definitely different--but overall not too bad (if you're into the "different tasting" sorta thing!). And if I need to get my daily dose of ginger, I think I'd be ok with a cup of this stuff! While it is sweet, it has a bit of a burn to it, so if the ginger itself doesn't keep you healthy, the spicy-kick alone should at least clear up your sinuses or soothe a sore throat!

With the cold weather setting in, have you tried any interesting hot beverages lately?

OH! And I almost forgot--Happy Friday!
