The fact that it's so interesting-looking made me even more excited to try it (yeah, I'm kinda weird like that). It had a gelatin-like texture, which I'm not quite used to and you can see the shredded ginger right in your cup.
Another coworker of mine, a cute little Asian woman, swears by the health benefits of ginger and says that if you have it daily, you'll never get sick (do ginger snaps count?!
So, the verdict? It was definitely different--but overall not too bad (if you're into the "different tasting" sorta thing!). And if I need to get my daily dose of ginger, I think I'd be ok with a cup of this stuff! While it is sweet, it has a bit of a burn to it, so if the ginger itself doesn't keep you healthy, the spicy-kick alone should at least clear up your sinuses or soothe a sore throat!
With the cold weather setting in, have you tried any interesting hot beverages lately?
